Chin Augmentation in Pickering, ON
A well-projected chin anchors the lower face, improves the jaw-to-neck transition, and dramatically affects the profile view. Filler chin augmentation can project, lengthen, or reshape the chin without surgery — with immediate, reversible results.
The Treatment
What Chin Filler Can Address
Structural HA filler is placed on or near the chin bone to add projection, length, or width — improving the balance of the lower face and the appearance of the profile. Often planned alongside jawline filler for a comprehensive lower face result.
What it may help address
- A recessed or weak chin that shortens the profile view
- Chin that appears disproportionately small relative to the nose or forehead
- Desire for improved jaw-to-neck definition from the profile
- Chin asymmetry (one side higher, lower, or wider than the other)
- Desire to assess chin projection before considering surgical implant
Good candidates
- Adults with a recessed or poorly projected chin bothering them from the profile
- Those wanting lower face balance without surgery
- Clients in good general health with realistic expectations
- Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Aware that filler augmentation is subtle to moderate — not equivalent to a surgical implant for significant projection
The Technique
Profile Balance in a Single Appointment
Chin filler uses a dense, structural HA product placed directly on the mentum (chin bone) in the supraperiosteal plane. This creates a firm, natural-feeling projection that mimics bone — not a soft, pillow-like volume. The choice of projection point (anterior, inferior, or lateral) determines the shape of the result.
One of the most immediately satisfying filler treatments: the change to profile is visible from the chair. Mia photographs the profile before and after so you can see the difference clearly. A small amount of product — often 0.5–1.5mL — creates a meaningful, proportionate change without an obvious 'done' look.
Chin and jawline filler are frequently planned together as a lower facial outline treatment. Mia will discuss whether treating both areas serves your proportions better than chin alone. All product is reversible HA. Results may vary.
Your Experience
What to Expect
Consultation & Profile Assessment
Mia photographs your profile and assesses your chin position relative to nose projection, forehead, and lip position. She discusses the specific direction of projection needed — forward, downward, or combined — and the expected volume.
The Treatment
Direct injection on the chin bone using a needle or cannula. A typical chin treatment takes 20–30 minutes. The area is firm and relatively avascular, making it more comfortable and with lower bruising risk than lip or fold treatment.
Results & Longevity
Immediate projection improvement visible the same day. Final result at 2 weeks once any mild swelling settles. Chin filler typically lasts 12–18 months — structural placement in a low-movement area contributes to longevity. Results may vary.

Chin Position Changes Everything.
A subtle shift in chin projection can dramatically improve facial harmony — especially from the profile. It's one of the highest-impact, lowest-volume filler treatments available, and one of the most immediately satisfying to see.
Mia approaches chin treatment as part of the lower facial outline, not an isolated feature. She'll tell you whether jawline filler would make the result even more impactful, and let you decide how far you want to take it.

Chin Augmentation FAQ
-
Meaningfully, but not dramatically. A typical chin filler treatment adds 3–6mm of forward projection — enough to improve the profile view and facial balance significantly. For someone wanting 10mm+ of augmentation, a surgical chin implant is a more appropriate tool. Mia will give you an honest assessment of what filler can achieve for your specific anatomy.
-
Not directly — a double chin is caused by submental fat or skin laxity, not by chin shape. However, adding chin projection can improve the jaw-to-neck angle in profile, which sometimes makes the submental area look less prominent. For actual submental fat reduction, lipolysis injections are the appropriate treatment.
-
Most clients find it comfortable. The chin bone area has fewer nerve endings near the surface than the lips or nasolabial fold. Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. Most clients describe a pressure or pushing sensation rather than sharp pain.

Yes — and this is one of the best uses of chin filler. It lets you experience improved chin projection with immediate, reversible results before committing to a surgical implant. If you love the result, you can maintain it with filler or use it as a visual reference for an implant consultation. If you're unsure, the filler wears off naturally.
